2021년 11월 1일 MBC에서 바다 플로깅에 대한 소개 영상을 MBC NEWS 유튜브에 올린 것이다. 조깅을 하면서 주변 쓰레기를 줍는 플로깅 활동에 참여하는 사람들이 늘어나고 있는데, 육지뿐 아니라 바다 속과 해변에서도 유사한 활동이 이루어지고 있다. 바다 플로깅은 프리다이버들이 바닷속 쓰레기를 줍는 '플로빙(=플로깅+프리다이빙)', 해변가에 버려진 쓰레기를 주워 해변을 빗질하듯 쓸어내는 '비치코밍' 등이 있다. 바다 여행도 하고 환경정화도 하는 일석이조의 활동에, 지자체도 이와 관련하여 연계 체험 상품도 선보이고 있다.
